Shell Cove, located just South of Shellharbour village is poised to be the ultimate in seaside living
Shellharbour City Council commenced development of the area in early 1990s to create significant employment in the wake of restructuring of the steel indusry. When completed it would be the largest coastal tourist/residential development ever initiated by a local government authority in Australia.
This $1.5 billion development will create around 3,000 prime residential lots, a 300 berth marina constructed within an in-shore boatharbour, an 18-hole championship-standard golf course, community parks and playgrounds, cycleways, and a range of quality commercial, retail, tourist, community and recreational facilities. However, there is some uncertainty as to when the marina will actually get built.
Council hopes that Shell Cove will help achieve its Economic Development Objectives:
And it is all happening.
Australand (one of Australia’s largest diversified property groups) is the Project Manager and financier of the project.
The purpose of this website is to promote community interaction and help residents enjoy living and working in this great suburb.
