Shell Cove Boat Harbour wins UDIA award for concept design

On August 24th 2012 the Shell Cove Boat Harbour was awarded the Concept Design Award at the 2012 UDIA NSW Austral Bricks Awards for Excellence.

The award recognised the thoughtful process underpinning Australand and Shellharloour City Council's concept design forthe Shell Cove Boat Harbour Precinct, while also recognising their ability to deliver a world class community. The UDIA NSW Austral Bricks Awards for Excelience are designed to highlight innovation, sustainability, industrial leadership and recognise excellence in urban development across NSW and the ACT. ILLAWARRA FLOODS: Shellharbour worst hit

Illawaraa Mercury 22 March 2011: Weather conditions are expected to ease today, bringing some relief for emergency crews across the Illawarra. The Bureau of Meterology (BOM) was predicting heavy falls into the early hours of this morning but rain should ease to showers by this afternoon, with a fine day predicted for tomorrow, according to BOM Severe Weather Forecaster Jake Phillips.

Concept plan approved

02 March 2011 - A CONCEPT plan for a $460 million mixed-use development at Shell Cove has been approved by the NSW Government. The development will surround the previously approved boat harbour and marina and will result in approximately 1,200 dwellings, 15,000 square metres of retail and commercial floor space, including a nine-storey hotel, and 30,000 square metres of business park floor space. The concept plan also provides for public open space and wetlands, including continuous pedestrian access around the perimeter of the boat harbour, a range of land-based services and facilities to support the approved marina and a dry boat storage facility.

GP Super Clinic

10 March 2011 - The IDGP was awarded the contract by the Commonwealth Government to develop and operate a GP Super Clinic in Shell Cove NSW.

The clinic will be named Shell Cove Family Health. Anticipated opening date - June 2011
